Lifestyle Campaign Serving Members For Life

Let’s face it – our lives are not planned out for us. Each
decision we make can take us down a different path. Everyone
is at a different stage in their own journey, and Visions
FCU aims to help and guide members through these stages and
make each milestone a success. These ideas are the cornerstone
of the credit union’s Lifestyles Campaign.
Visions FCU recognizes its role as its members’ financial
partner, helping them plan for a successful future. For the
important milestones in their lives, Visions FCU accompanies
its members every step of the way.
First
Stage – Education: During this stage the credit union
provides its Moola Moola program to members ages 12 and under.
This club features special youth savings programs and events.
For members ages 13 to 17, the credit union offers the Teen
Smart program, which includes products and services, such
as checking accounts with a debit card and ATM access, and
first loans.
Second Stage – Accumulation: For the “young adults”
ages 18 to 24, Visions FCU offersthe Smart Start program,
which features a checking account, debit/ATM card, student
MasterCard® and specialized loans for vehicles or computers.
For the 25- to 34-year-old “career starters,” the credit
union offers products, such as business services, IRA planning,
life insurance, car and homeowner insurance, mortgage and
real estate loans, automated services (e-statements and online
bill payment), loan products and a variety of checking accounts
with debit cards.
Third Stage – Consolidation and Financial Independence:
Products for members in the 35-44 age bracket consist of tax
saver and HELOCs, IRAs, loans, seminars (college, retirement,
and investment planning), account aggregator – to tie all
of their assets together with one simple login, savings bonds,
Road America Plan/auto club, life insurance and Credit Union
Service Centers. The age group of 45 to 54 is referred to
as the “asset building” group. They are most interested in
IRAs, term certificates, wealth management, estate planning
and trust services, discount brokerage and long-term health
care.
Fourth
Stage – Wealth Transfer: This group of members falls in
the 55-69 age bracket, is looking forward to “enjoying retirement,”
and is interested in products to help them do just that. Vacation
home financing, wealth and money management services, (including
mutual funds, financial counseling, etc.), estate and trust
planning, and retirement services are popular with this group.
Members 70+ years of age are defined as being in the “gifting”
phase of their life. They are looking at how to manage their
money while covering their expenses, as well as estate planning
services, which includes irrevocable living trust, special
needs trust, gifting strategies, minimization of estate taxes
and bill payment services.
Visions FCU often sees children begin their journey with
the credit union by joining the Moola Moola Club and attending
youth events and parties, then applying for a college education
loan, and later coming back for their first home mortgage.
This type of experience is what Visions FCU is all about.
The credit union continues to provide services that meet member
needs throughout the entire lifespan, and is proud to serve
as the primary financial institution for its members as they
move from milestone to milestone.
